Carbon Fast for Lent
Have you thought about doing a carbon fast for Lent this year. See Tearfunds excellent set of ideas for something different to do every day in Lent at www.tearfund.org/carbonfast. This will be the third year of the Carbon Fast for Tearfund. It was created by Bishop James Jones, the Bishop of Liverpool who first ran it in his diocese in 2007.
The Carbon Fast takes place during Lent – from 17 Feb 2010. It provides simple prayers and practical actions to help people respond to climate change by reducing their emissions and focusing on poor people hit hardest by the changing climate.
It's a great way for people to start responding to the issue of climate change as many of the actions are very simple and may well be things they are already doing.
