Stewards of the Earth - Harlington, Beds
Saturday, 4 October, 2008
10:00am - 4:00pm
Harlington Methodist Church
Sundon Road
Harlington
Bedfordshire
Event details:
Harlington Methodist Church takes it's environmental responsibilities seriously. In the summer of 2008 we formed a 'Green Team' with the remit to ensure the church does what it can to minimise it's environmental impact and to alert members of the church family and the wider community to their responsibilities.
To that end the first task of the team has been to organise the 'Stewards of the Earth' day as part of the church's Harvest weekend. On October 4th we have arranged for a large number of exibitors to be at the church to provide advice to people in the whole area of the environment. A list of exhibitors can be found here
Organic Ploughman's lunches will be available between 12 noon and 2pm for £3.50 while tea, coffee, cold drinks and cakes will be available throughout the day.
A compost competition, Top of the Heap, will be held during the day. Anyone living in Harlington is welcome to enter for free. An entry form can be downloaded here
