Leytonstone United Free Church
'Spiritual' activities:
- use images and visual aids to pray for God's creation and the invironment
- sing hymns and songs to celebrate creation and the environment
- speaker on energy saving
- prayer walk
- organic bread and wine
Practical activities:
- hippo bags installed in the cisterns
- low energy light bulbs fitted
- switched to 'green' electricity
- fairtrade products used, and stall once a month
- recycling collection point
- jumble sales
Reaching out:
- adopted a green space in the community, responsible for it's maintainance
- support a credit union and night shelter
- supports overseas projects in Ghana and Uganda
- Christian Aid supporter
- Green articles and green tips in the church magazine
