UK wide and 9 other countries
Website: Carbon Fast 2012
Event details:
Tearfund will be running the Carbon Fast again this year, and will be taking place in 10 countries during Lent!
Here is some more information and ways you can take part or promote it.
The Carbon Fast provides daily actions and prayers for Lent - starting on Wednesday 22 February - to help you and your church reduce your emissions and take action to protect poor people from the changing climate and to care for God’s good creation.
Whether you’re a nervous novice or a carbon-cutting crusader, there’s something in this year’s Carbon Fast for you. The daily actions focus on these themes providing something for all walks of life, including more adventurous actions for carbon-cutting experts who want a challenge and weekly actions for those who’s prefer a one action a week pattern.
How to take part
1 Get the actions: Download the actions at www.tearfund.org/carbonfast or order an action guide from resources.tearfund.org (http://resources.tearfund.org/tearfund_resources/public/saleproduct.jsf?...) or by calling 0845 355 8355.
2 Tell your church or small group: look for ways for your church to take part in the Carbon Fast, for example by featuring an action a week. Order action guides for church or group members.
